All the benefits of life on the lake are celebrated at this Incline Village site located on a court with its own private beach on Lake Tahoe. The modestly scaled home suffered from low ceilings and a cramped feeling due to a suboptimal layout. For the architecture design we took the interiors down to the studs, relocated the staircase from the center of the house to open up the interior, reconfigured the living areas to improve circulation and maximize space, and strategically added bedrooms to host more guests.
We lightened and brightened the entire house and took advantage of every nook and cranny to create opportunities for both gathering and retreating. This is one of many projects we created for this family. For the interior dseign we combined a neutral palette with textural elements for these longtime clients, this warm and cozy mountain modern home is imbued with a timeless charm.
