Alpine Abode

Starting from the ground up, we did the interior design for a new home build in Tahoe’s Lahontan Golf Club Community in Truckee, which provided a blank canvas for our selections of furniture and lighting. The clients, a Texas family who would be residing intermittently, were seeking a California vibe — as seen in the dining table and chairs and living room end tables — within a mountain modern setting characterized by wood ceilings and steel details.

We established a neutral palette for the interiors ranging from earth tones to denim and imbued the home with texture. Patterned rugs, Angora-upholstered chairs, and throw pillows with tassels and other embellishments create a welcoming feel which enhanced the interior design. Wildlife art and contemporary wood antler ‘mounts’ speak to life in the mountains. Custom furniture and pillows lend each room a unique character in a home inspired by its place in the Sierra.
